Meet the team


Jack Morris

Jack has been in the industry since 2017 and has worked with start-ups through to global brands in a variety of capacities including financial services, professional services, technology and sales.

He has a keen eye for detail which enables him to truly understand his client’s toughest requirements and go to market to attract the best and most passive candidates on to the market. Jack’s expertise lies within the web and mobile space and excels in using innovative sourcing tools to identify the most hard to reach talent for his clients. 

Jack is a sports enthusiast with a real lack of any sporting ability!

George Simmons

George has over 5 years’ experience in the industry which has centred on building high level interim teams for enterprise organisations going through business transformation having initially learnt his craft within the Healthcare sector.

Along with Will he has been a driving force behind the creation of Socium’s ‘Team-as-a-Service’ (TaaS) product. George thrives when partnering with senior stakeholders at discovery stage to define outcomes and objectives which enable him to deliver talented teams at pace.

 Since starting with Socium George has successfully worked with a number of Founders, Transformation Directors & CIO’s to create high performance teams.

George’s life outside of work includes regular Trips away with his girlfriend and attending sporting events including football and boxing.

Issey O’Connor

Issey cut her teeth within insurance before coming on board with Socium. She hit the ground running when her first placement involved partnering with a FTSE 100 business to identify their new CIO. Not a bad start! 

Since then Issey has grown immensely and without a doubt her biggest strength is her ability to rise to a challenge. She is the first to throw her name in to the hat to tackle a particularly problematic role and always goes above and beyond to meet the needs of her clients and candidates. Issey’s day to day focus involves working largely with enterprise businesses going through an IT transformation project sourcing anything from Project Manager to Solution Architects.  

Away from Socium Issey spends a lot of her time with her French Bulldog (Binky), dining out in restaurants across London and longing for her next holiday.

Ross Barnett

Ross has over 10 years’ experience the majority of which was spent working for a global staffing firm delivering top tech talent across a variety of verticals to fintech, tech start-ups and ecommerce clients across London.

Growing increasingly frustrated with legacy recruitment models which only served to create a ‘race to the bottom’ mentality, Ross wanted to build a business that allowed him to create bespoke hiring solutions in line with each individual client’s needs to help them achieve their business goals.

Since then Socium has partnered with a host of hyper growth start-ups to devise an end to end hiring processes that ensures a great candidate experience and remove the biggest headache any technology manager can face, hiring tech talent in a competitive London market.

Ross is kept busy outside of work with his two young kids and when he’s not building forts or watching Peppa Pig he can be found out running and following his beloved Charlton Athletic.

Will Gilbert

Will has been in the industry over a decade and is an industry leading expert in building transformation and technology teams for a wide range of clients/industries. 

After growing increasingly frustrated with the traditionalist recruitment models, Will wanted to build a business that was values led and delivered great outcomes for clients, at pace, in the form of team builds. Wills role is focused on service development, client partnering, delivery and constantly reminding people to do administrative tasks!

Outside of work Will is kept busy by a globe-trotting diplomatic wife (currently based in Ghana) a love for Sailing, wine and cheese.
