Problem:
The client was running an outdated tech platform that was resulting in excessive technical debt and hindering future growth as the platform had reached its scale limit. Historically they relied on a mix of contingent workforce and consultancy staff to manage heavy-lift tech projects but found this to be extremely costly and inefficient. They wanted to retain a flexible, highly skilled, technical workforce and make team changes at speed without any of the logistical headaches and without being beholden to expensive consultancy models.
Solution:
Socium deployed a preformed team of full-stack developers, testers, architects, tech leads and functional technology exports to both augment existing teams and stand up entirely new squads. An at peak team of 45 were deployed, with the initial scoping tea, of 5 deployed within 24 hours of the SoW agreement.
Under the management of a senior Socium client partner, and working under an SoW operating model, Socium managed the complete selection, onboarding and vetting process across the teams to enable a quicker speed of deployment for new team members.
Key results:
The client reduced their immediate ‘time to hire’ from 3 weeks to 24 hours, resulting in a vastly reduce ‘Cost per hire’ whilst updating their multi-layered tech interface in just over 3 months.
