After securing Series B funding in early 2020, Onto’s problems were two-fold. In order to meet their ambitious investment targets, Onto faced the problem of having to scale their engineering team at speed, against a backdrop of an existing, but failing contingent recruitment approach.

Solution:
Socium conducted a full process audit of Onto’s existing Talent Attraction strategy, taking full ownership of the recruitment lifecycle; EVP build to help Onto stand out in a crowded marketplace, including supporting marketing collateral such as EVP brochure, ‘Work for us’ videos and senior staff profile documents.
Revamped and streamlined interview/hiring process. Dedicated’ Talent Acquisition Manager and Brand Ambassador. Structured feedback and campaign performance reporting, including; Timelines/Milestone review, CV/interview to offer/placement ratios, D&I initiatives and more.
Key results:
Our new but fully embedded TA system integrated into Onto’s existing HR and CRM systems, and coupled with our dedicated ‘Brand Ambassador’ pushing out timely EVP driven marketing into relevant tech communities resulted in a 50% hiring uplift in just 3 months.
